Alice Weaver

Alice Mae Weaver, age 91, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 while under the care of Suncrest Hospice.

Alice was born to Della Gray, May 1, 1930 in Des Moines, Iowa. She owned and operated a Hobby Shop, Worked at Burger Chef, and was a CN at Luther Park in Des Moines. She attended Calvary Grace Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen Lorenz, grandchildren, Teresa (John) Knox, Roberta (Tammy) Lorenz, and three great-grandchildren, Johnny Knox, Jeffrey Knox, and Madyson Lorenz, one great-great granddaughter, Isla Lorenz and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Conrad Weaver, Sister, Norma Jean Husted, Son-in-law, Robert Lorenz, Grandson, Lloyd Lorenz.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., followed by funeral service at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Cremation will take place after the services. Burial of the urn will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Ridgedale Cemetery in Johnston, Iowa.
