Cassandra Marie Davis
October 08, 2021
Cassie Davis passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Friday, October 8, 2021.
She was born on November 19, 1953 to Benjamin Rogers and Donna Kent in Rapid City, South Dakota. Most of her life was spent in Des Moines, IA with her husband of 49 years, Harold, raising their four children and enjoying their grandchildren.
Cassie was a huge fan of the Chicago series (PD, Fire & Med), as well as HGTV and Food Network (Halloween Wars being her favorite). Babies, butterflies, snowmen, and angels were among some of her favorite things. She spent most of her working career in office positions, but her favorite job was always being the lunch lady at the elementary schools where many of her grandchildren, great nieces and nephews attended.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Davis; her children, Pam (Eric) Allen, Penny Heiss, Terry (Mikki) Davis, and Harold Jr. “Buddy” (Kendra) Davis; her grandchildren, Ashley (Zach), Skylar (Myles), Amber, Levi, Blake, Carleigh, Trenton, Hayden, Peyton, Triniti, Piper, and Layne; her great-grandchildren, Braydon, Amira, Lettie Mae, and Roman; her sisters, Lorrie, Deena, and Tracy; her brothers, Nick and Nyle; and numerous nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Donna; brother, Bill; and her granddaughters, Samantha and Megan.
We are respecting her wishes, so there will be no funeral service. She will be cremated and stay with her husband until it is his time to join her. They will then be laid to rest at Woodlands Cemetery.
