Angela Marie Ogden
October 09, 2021
Angel was born on June 27, 1965 to Anna Marie Cipale and Doug Hutchins in Des Moines, IA. She passed away unexpectedly on October 9, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Angie was a free-spirit, an Italian spitfire, and a staple of south Des Moines most of her life. 33 years ago on October 14, 1988, Angie married Mark Ogden and three children were born to their union; Robert Lee, Justin Thomas and Taylor Nikole.
Angie loved many things. Her favorite color was red, signifying life, vigor, courage and love, qualities she inspired from her birth. She enjoyed Harley rides, puzzle books, adult coloring books, arts & crafts and board games, with Scrabble being her favorite. More than anything, she loved and was devoted to her family. She would do anything for family, frequently driving hundreds of miles to take her “brood” to concerts, races, wherever they wanted to go.
Angie’s home was open to all. She was a great listener, a confidant, and a mother figure to many southside youths. Her Italian heritage made her a fantastic cook and her deviled eggs and pasta salad were the best! She was a caretaker, always the first to arrive and last to leave. She was fearless and brave!
Angie could command a room. She was honest and always said it like it is. She was unique and full of life, a bright light wherever she went. Heaven gained a courageous and beautiful soul. When you’re tempted to cry, just remember her smile.
Angie is survived by her husband, Mark, 3 children & 10 grandchildren; son Robbie Harsh (Amanda Gale), Makenzie, Gage, Keagan, Lillian, Layla & Oliver; son Jay Ogden (Cassaundra Chance), Aspyn, Rilee, Jackson & Finley; daughter Taylor; mother Anna Marie Harsh of Ankeny, IA; father Doug Hutchins of Superior, MT; mothers-in-law, Becky Hein and Donna Ogden; beloved pets, Cookie, Yoshi, X, and Casper; a multitude of devoted aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and surrogate sons & daughters she collected through the years.
Angie was preceded in death by her grandparents, father-in-law Bob Ogden and brother-in-law Mike Ogden.
The family will greet friends on Sunday, October 24, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. A memorial service will take place following the visitation starting at 4:00 p.m. also at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank the Warren County Sherriff’s Department, Milo Fire Department, and Mercy Life-Flight for the aid given to Angel during her final moments on Earth.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Angie.

My most deepest condolences to all who felt the impact as well as the importance of Angie in their lives. To those who never had the opportunity to meet her. You missed out on an incredible opportunity. Being here at the viewing Has given me once again a chance to see and feel the strength, the resilience, and also the wonderful individuality the Ogdens have that make us a family. I appreciate all of us! Angie thank you for always being willing to accept others for who they are.

Mark, on behalf of your friends at Lincoln High, and especially our Class of 1984, we are grieving with you at this loss of Angie.
I personally told you several time about my prayers and you know how to reach me if you have any type of need, spiritual or otherwise, and until it is out time to leave this earth let us continue to lean on our friends. Please reach out to us as you may see us reach out to you less often as the months and years go by - this is unfortunate but it is good to know the truth - you have closer friends that are there for you too. Take advantage of their friendships!

You were the best Grandma, friend and confidant. You were always there whenever I needed anything. Aspyn had a ball game right over Finley's nap time, Jay wanted to go on a Harley ride during a beautiful day, you wanted to come over and make us all dinner. All you said was "what time baby and where at" Never any questions. I loved having you around. I could talk to you for hours!! They say it takes a village, you were my village! Thank you for being my village, Grandma! Love you forever. Rock in Paradise, until I see you again.I could only image what heaven will be like with Angela Ogden there.

Angel, I just can't get over you being gone. So hard to believe I won't be able to text you or go to lunch. The nite before your passing you said you had the margin last few days I wish I could've helped you. I always told you go to the dr but you made up your mine and no one could change it, you were your own person. I know you loved your new home, I was so looking forward to that dinner and giving you your house warming party. I love ❤ you and will miss so much. Til we meet again. Tell everyone hi for me, tell them we miss all of them. Hugs and kisses 💋 😇💖💜🤟

I will miss you being here every day the rest of my life. I know you are harassing my dad in heaven with your favorite word. Lol. One day soon you and I will have all the time in the world to play board games. Until then, watch over Joey when you can. Help my dad and grandmas care for Joey if he should get to you before I do. And send your kids and grandkids a sign now and then, just to let them know you are near. I love you.
