Max E. Mann

Max E. Mann, 83, was reunited with his heavenly Father on the evening of Tuesday, October 13, 2009 while resting at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines, Iowa. Visitation will be held at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St., Des Moines at 6-8 p.m. Friday, October 16. Funeral services will be held at Berean Assembly of God at 5299 E. University Avenue at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 17. The burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Lamoni, Iowa.

Max was born to Maude and George Mann on December 4, 1925 in Logan, Iowa. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He studied education at Graceland College and graduated from Drake University in 1945. His happiest moments were spent traveling, fishing, and enjoying time with family.

Max is preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Norma. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Claudia; children, Kelly & Alan; step-children, Diane & Craig; 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
