Leonard Smith

Leonard D. Smith passed away at Sunny View Care Center on October 10, 2021, at the age of 90. He was born in Klein, Montana, on August 23, 1931, to Albert and Dorothy Smith.

Leonard was a veteran of the United States Army and worked as an HVAC Technician for 33 years at Taylor Industries until retirement. Leonard was an avid outdoorsman, he especially enjoyed bow hunting with his son, Dale. Leonard took up golf when he retired and enjoyed many rounds with family and friends. Leonard enjoyed taking family vacations to Montana along with fishing trips to Canada and Alaska.

Leonard is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Dorothy Smith; daughter, Vickie (Dennis) Skou; son, Dale (Brenda); brother Neil (Judi) along with 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; as well as other loving family and many special friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Rick Smith, and his brother, Ron Smith.

Per his wishes, Leonard’s body will be cremated and a private family graveside service will be held at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
