Theresa "Teri" Kirley

Theresa "Teri" Kirley, 56, passed away Monday, October 12, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2009, at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Teri was born October 15, 1952 in Des Moines to Clifford and Johnie Whisenand. She was everyone's "Sis," "Nana," "Mom," "Tesse" but was most commonly called "Teri." She was a certified medical assistant for Mercy South Medical Center for 19 years. Teri loved her dogs, Margaret and Pepper and making crafts.

Teri is survived by her daughters, Kelee McCrea and Stacee McCrea; brothers, Bob Whisenand of Des Moines and Gary Whisenand of Richmond, VA; niece, Pam Killen; her beloved grandchildren, Bryan, Blake, Becca and Gracee; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Larry Whisenand and her sister, Earlene Tarney.
