Karen Morris Mark

Karen Morris Mark, 83, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 2, 2021. A celebration of Karen’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, October 8, 2021, at Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines, 925 Jordan Creek Pkwy, West Des Moines. She will be laid to rest at the Bondurant Cemetery. For those who cannot attend, the service will be livestreamed through Lutheran Church of Hope's website. Click here to view.

Karen Morris was born March 5, 1938, in Bondurant, Iowa to Edgar and Kathryn Morris. She was raised in Bondurant and lived on the family farm most of her life. Karen loved life and had many hobbies such as crafting and quilting, but her true love was spending time with family.

Karen will be deeply missed by her children, Maureen (Bruce) Kuch and Heather Anukam; grandchildren, Monica (Joe) Scheib, Alex Chappell, Derek (Rachel) Kuch, Logan (Brittany) Kuch, Austin (Kaylee) Kuch, Roselin Anukam, Kele Anukam, and Chidy Anukam; great-grandchildren, Claire, Elsa, Charlie, Sicily, Brady, Blake, Haddie, Zoey, Elliott and Maisie; and sibling, Ladene Eshelman.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Michelle Chappell, and brother-in-law, Darrell Eshelman.
