Ross George Biggs

Ross was born on March 29, 1958 to Claude and Betty (Stubbert) Biggs. He departed this life and joined our Lord on October 3, 2021.

Ross lived most of his life in Indiana. He was born in Valparaiso and later his family moved to LaGrange where he grew up. He graduated from Lakeland High School in LaGrange.

As an adult, Ross lived in or around both Valparaiso and LaGrange having many different jobs. The job he liked best was delivering pizza for Pizza Hut. He liked the driving, finding addresses and meeting so many different people. He worked for Pizza Hut for over 30 years in total before, retiring in 2019.

Ross met his wife Deb on-line in a game site chat room in 2009. There was a connection and the relationship progressed. He moved to Mitchellville a few months later to start a life with Deb. Many people thought it wouldn’t work out, it did and they were married on September 12th 2015.

Ross loved playing poker with his ‘poker buddies’ every week. He also loved to bowl and did league bowling all year round. Ross knew and liked to play many different card games. He went to the Runnells Senior Center and played cards every day when it was open. He also enjoyed riding with the towns police officers.

When he was younger Ross was involved in church activities and was an active member of the Jaycee’s. After moving to Mitchellville, he volunteered at his church and was very involved with helping to take care of his father-in-law and mother-in-law before their passing. All you needed to do was ask and Ross would do his best to help.

Ross was proceeded in death by his parents; brother, Loren Biggs; and sister, Bunny (Pauline) Clark.

He is survived by his wife, Deb (Thomas) Biggs; his nephews, Jon, Lyle and Eric Meyers; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews; as well as great-great nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Services will be held at 10 am Monday, October 11, 2021 at Mitchellville United Methodist Church, 200 2nd St. NW Mitchellville with visitation from 1-3pm Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Hamilton’s Mitchellville Funeral Home, 303 Center Avenue South, Mitchellville.
Burial will follow at Mitchellville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
