Shelly Lee Cole age 6o, returned to her heavenly home on October 3rd, 2021. Her final days were spent surrounded by loved ones.

Shelly was born November 23rd, 1960 in Des Moines, Iowa to Archie and Mary (See) Sorensen. She was the oldest of five siblings, wonderful mother of two daughters, and a devoted wife and grandmother. She lived life to the fullest. Her greatest joys were sharing treasured memories with family and friends. Most of all spoiling her grandchildren Austen and Aleiah and two dogs Biggie and Lala.

Shelly will be lovingly remembered by her husband Preston Cole, two daughters Elizabeth Wilkinson and Nicole (Stephanie) Wilkinson, two grandchildren Austen and Aleiah, four siblings Carla, Gary (Brenda), Stormy, and Sharla, as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, and relatives.

Shelly was welcomed into her heavenly home with open arms by her mother Mary Barrington, her two fathers Archie Sorensen and Chuck Barrington, and beloved grandparents Blossom and Clyde See.

Services will be held on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m., followed by funeral service at 2:00 p.m.
