Margaret Jean Martin, 87, of Woodlands Creek Silvercrest, died September 30th at home from complications of Alzheimer’s.
Margaret lived in Des Moines all her life. Margaret’s business contributions to their several family businesses over the years was immeasurable. She enjoyed baking, especially cookies, and entered foods in the fair and won many ribbons. Besides her family, she had a love for animals, particularly dogs. She always said, “dogs are God’s gift to mankind” and she meant it. Margaret had a sense of humor and loved to joke around with people. She always believed ‘things will work out’ and they always did.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Cindy Martin of Des Moines, Becky (Mark) Overland of MN, Tom (Pam) Martin of Clive, Terri Martin of MN, Lori (Jim) Webber of Norwalk, and Dee (Rich) Wallace of TN; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and many grand-puppies.
In loving remembrance of Margaret Martin, donations can be made in her name to the Animal Rescue League (ARL) of Iowa.
