Ruben Vallejo, age 70, passed away Monday, September 27, 2021.

Ruben was born June 1, 1951 to Victoriano and Maria Perez. He was a very loving, caring and nurturing person. Ruben loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren very much. Ruben enjoyed the simple and little things in life such as watching his grandkids play or a cup of coffee and a cigarette with his loved ones. Ruben was very caring, whether it was his family or his pets. He will be truly missed.

He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Maria; children, Maria (Gilbert) Perez, Monica (Hugo Fernandez) Sanchez, Dora (Rogelio Rodriguez) Sanchez, Juan (Susanna) Perez, Rachel Perez, Luis Perez, Esmeralda (Armando Pacheco) Vallejo, Ernesto (Jessica) Sanchez; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Ruben Perez; and his parents, Victoriano and Maria Perez.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines. Funeral service will begin at 1:30 p.m. Friday, October 1, 2021, also at the funeral home.

Rubén Vallejo, de 70 años, falleció el lunes 27 de septiembre de 2021.

Ruben nació el 1 de junio de 1951 de Victoriano y Maria Perez. Era una persona muy amoroso y cariñoso. Rubén quería mucho a sus nietos y bisnietos. Rubén disfrutaba las cosas simples y pequeñas, como ver a sus nietos jugar. Disfrutar una tasa de café con un cigarro con la gente mas querida. Rubén era bien cariñoso, ya sea con su familia o sus mascotas. Se le va extranas muchisimo.

Le sobreviven su esposa durante más de 50 años, María; hijos, María (Gilbert) Pérez, Mónica (Hugo Fernández) Sánchez, Dora (Rogelio Rodríguez) Sánchez, Juan (Susanna) Pérez, Rachel Pérez, Luis Pérez, Esmeralda (Armando Pacheco) Vallejo, Ernesto (Jessica) Sánchez; muchos nietos y bisnietos.

Le precedieron en la muerte su hijo, Rubén Pérez; y sus padres, Victoriano y Maria Perez.

El velorio se llevará a cabo de 4:00 a 8:00 p.m. Jueves, 30 de septiembre de 2021 en Hamilton's cerca de Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines. El funeral comenzará a las 1:30 p.m. Viernes 1 de octubre de 2021, también en la funeraria.
