Donald Bougher

Donald Bougher, 82, passed away on September 22, 2021, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. He was born in Des Moines, Iowa on May 16, 1939, the son of Cecil and Anna Bougher.

Don retired from Iowa Industrial Products. He enjoyed camping and fishing with his family, playing guitar, and singing old country tunes. Don will be remembered for his keen sense of humor, even up until the time of his passing.

Don is survived by his children, Cindy (Dan) Hollar, Donna (Jeff Lewis) Bougher, and Ron (Deb) Bougher; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren with one on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Maxine; son, D.J.; grandson, Justin Bougher; and siblings, Florence, Lillian, and Walt.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, September 27th, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave. in Des Moines, with burial to follow at Lowman Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, September 26th from 2-4 p.m., also at the funeral home.
