Betty K. Graziano

Betty Kay Graziano, age 67, passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Trinity Center in Des Moines after a long battle with cancer.

Betty was born October 28, 1953 in Des Moines, Iowa to Fred L. and Anna Mae (Wagner) Williams. She was a self-employed housekeeper for many years. Betty was a doer. She enjoyed being busy, doing yardwork and weeding her flower garden. She loved to clean and like thrift-store shopping.

She is survived by her sons, Shawn Sziber (Samantha), John Sziber (Gail), Dan Sziber (Shellie); seven grandchildren: Shawna Sziber (Laverne Greene), Dylan Sziber (Cortney Wilson), Shylo Sziber (Craig Conkel), Katelynn Sziber (Max Lopez), Daniel Sziber, Justin Sziber, and Jimmy Sziber; ten great-grandchildren and one on the way; brothers, Andrew Williams (Diane) and Robert Williams; and many nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Lee Graziano; brother, Fred Alvin Williams; and her parents, Fred LaFayette Williams and Anna Mae Williams.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday September 22, 2021, also at the funeral home, and will conclude with a graveside service at Laurel Hill Cemetery. There will be a reception at the funeral home after the burial.
