Robert (Bob) Pearce

Robert (Bob) Pearce, 57, went to be with the Lord on September 11, 2021. He was born December 27, 1963 in Dayton, OH, and moved to the Des Moines, IA area in 1979.
Bob was a 1983 graduate of Roosevelt High School in Des Moines. In 1993, he married the love of his life and soulmate, Freda. Together they made their home in Ankeny. He and his family are members of Grace West Church in West Des Moines.
Bob spent most of his life working in the hospitality industry as a cook. He was the proud owner of his own concession business “Grill on Wheels” for 10 years. He most recently worked at the Hampton Inn in Ankeny.
Bob had a great love of music and played the bass guitar. In his younger years he enjoyed spending time in the water with friends and family boating and skiing. He was also a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan. He had a great sense of humor and would always greet you with a big smile or hug. He recently enjoyed re-connecting with old friends on Facebook.
He is survived by his wife, Freda; daughter, Presha (Mike) Schwienebart; parents, Tim and Nancy Allen; sisters, Helen Allsup, Tammy Campbell, Tracy Powley (Matt Perry), brother, Tim (Brenda) Allen; 3 grandsons, Austin, Cohen and Isaiah; 2 granddaughters, Riley and Hailey; 1 great-grandson, Oliver; many nieces and nephews and his Grace West family and friends. He was truly loved and will be missed by all. He was preceded in death by Robert E. Pearce.
A celebration of life service will be held Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace West Church, 6820 Ashworth Rd., West Des Moines, IA. Light refreshments will follow. Please dress casually and bring stories or memories to share.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Bob Pearce.

Great guy all around ..he was friends in junior high with my brother Gary and got to know hom better at Roosevelt. RIP BOB ...soar with the angels

So sorry for the loss of a Gentle Giant. He was a kind and a good person. I was glad to have known him as Cuz..God has received a faithful servant in the name of Robert Pearce..Prayers to the whole family.. Cousin Donna.
