Twyla Conklin, age 61, passed away at her home on Sunday, September 12, 2021. Twyla was born the daughter of Dewey and Darline (Smith) Wymer, Jr., on November 1, 1959 in Des Moines, Iowa. After high school, she joined the carnival and traveled the United States.

Twyla had a passion for music, she loved watching her son, Kyle, play the saxophone and perform throughout different venues. Twyla enjoyed arts & crafts and was a “Master Thrifter” and treasured all of her special finds at flea markets. She loved attending Indian Pow Wows and looked forward to the Iowa State Fair each and every year. Twyla will forever be remembered as a free spirit and missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 21 years, Leslie Conklin; children, Kyle & Eli Gowin, Christina Conklin, and Kathy Novak; grandchildren, Timmy and Vanessa; great-Grandchildren, Landon and Leon; siblings, Diana Janeen Widmer, Virgie May Killen, and Samuel Dewey Wymer; special friend, Jen Beerbauer; and numerous nieces and nephews, and other loving relatives and many special friends.

Twyla was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation has occurred and private services will be held at a later date.
