David Bruce Jones, 74, passed away on September 12, 2021.

David was born May 22, 1947, in Des Moines, Iowa to Irvin and Ardis (Ockwig) Jones. He graduated from Tech High School. After graduation, he was in the Air Force and was a Vietnam veteran. He lived in Des Moines until his mid-thirties and then moved to Minnesota where he earned a degree from the University of Minnesota and worked with mentally and physically disabled children and adults. When he moved back to Des Moines he worked in the same field, as this was his passion.

He enjoyed playing pool, camping and loved riding motorcycles. He was an avid outdoorsman which included bicycling, kayaking, and traveling in-state and overseas. He loved his animals especially dogs and cats.

David is survived by his children, Bruce (Carol Smith) Jones, Staci Jones, and Brian (Rabecca) Jones; grandchildren, Mick Jones, Lauren Jones, Reece Jones, Joe Sanders, and Jayce Breckenridge; great-grandchildren, Amelia Jones and Cooper Jones; siblings, DeAnn (Ben) Pickett, Gary (Lorna) Jones, and Sue (Scot) Speridon; and numerous other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Mark Jones, and Ramona Jones.
