Service Details
Chad A. Pitts, 36, passed away at his home Friday, October 9, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, October 12, 2009 at the funeral home. A private family burial will be held at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery.
Chad was born February 5, 1973. He attended Indianola High School and graduated from East High School in 1991, where he was active in football and wrestling. Chad served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a carpenter and enjoyed NASCAR and Sprint car racing.
Chad is survived by his wife, Traci; children, Austin, Colby and Haylea; step-daughters, Stevie, Sammie, Kelsey and Talle; granddaughter, Marley; mother and step-father, Nancy and Tom Sly; father, Michael Pitts; brothers, Kirk and Sean Sly; and many other extended relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his Grandma Kelly, Grandma and Grandpa Newell; and second cousin, Brenden.
