Rev. Carol M. Pietro

Rev. Carol Marie Pietro, age 70, passed away August 31, 2021.

Carol was born May 10, 1951 to William and Dolores Simpson. She was an ordained member of Impact Ministries International. She attended Leetown Assembly of God and Bethesda Full Gospel Churches in Des Moines, and Christ for the World Church in Rogers/Ft. Smith, Arkansas. She loved the Lord faithfully.

Carol lived with her daughter, Theresa, and they went everywhere together. She was always there for her grandchildren. Carol enjoyed watching Walker Texas Ranger and NCIS and loved her cat and her grandcats, Diva, Amy and Ella, who she called “her girls”. She was sassy, stubborn, and ornery, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Theresa Benson; grandson, John William Benson; granddaughter, Faith Alison Benson; and her brother, Charles Simpson.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Oliver Simpson; mother, Dolores Jean Simpson; and her husband, Douglas Pietro.

There will be a public visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Graveside service will follow at Ankeny Memorial Gardens, 4208 N Ankeny Blvd, Ankeny.
