Carl G. Nelson

Carl G. Nelson, 94, passed away on August 28, 2021 at University Park Nursing and Rehab Center.

Carl was born June 16, 1927 in Des Moines, Iowa to Axel and Pauline (Pearson) Nelson. He graduated from East High School in 1945. After graduation, he proudly served in the United States Army. Carl is survived by a niece, Nancy Eckhark and nephew.

Carl’s family is not able to attend the service and so the public is encouraged to attend the graveside service that will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Des Moines. He will be laid to rest with military honors.
