Pauline Gomez, age 76, passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born the daughter of Paul and Celestia Beveridge on June 4, 1945 in Des Moines, Iowa.

Pauline enjoyed spending time with her best friend and fiancé, Richard who would take her on all kinds of adventures such as riding on a horse carousel, dancing, and going to concerts. During her retirement, Pauline worked at Wal-Mart where she made many close connections with her coworkers.

Family was everything to Pauline, she took pride in cooking for everyone. She loved to crochet and sew big blankets and pillowcases for her children and grandchildren. Pauline was such a caring and giving person to her family & friends and also donated to the March of Dimes. She will be remembered most for her larger than life personality, spunk, and always making those around her laugh. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her beloved family.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Manuel (Traci) Gomez Jr., Frances Guzman, Lola (Miguel) Segovia, Maria (David Romero) Gomez, and Jesse (Gregga) Gomez; 23 grandchildren; 52 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; siblings, Bessie, Chuck, Allison, and Paul; fiancé, Richard Luna; many nieces nephews and other loving family members.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Manuel Gomez Sr.; grandchildren, Miguel Angel Segovia Jr. and Miguel Angel Segovia II; and siblings, Ted and Wanita.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with funeral service to begin at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Interment will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
