Sheila Ann Bailey

Sheila A. Bailey, age 80, passed away on August 29, 2021. She was born on April 8, 1941 in Des Moines, Iowa. Sheila worked with her family at their family-owned Breezy Hill Restaurant and Camp Dodge for many years in food service for the Iowa Highway Patrol School.

Sheila is survived by her children, Diane (Dale) Pehl, Aaron (Alene) Bailey, Eric (Mitzi) Bailey; grandchildren, Ryan Bailey, Nathan Bailey, Andrew Bailey, Rachelle Davis, Joshua Pehl, Justin Pehl, Dakotah Bailey, Sierra Bailey, and Ashley Liepa; and 12 ½ great-grandchildren. Her sisters, Kay Goff, Sylvia (Steve) Perry, Judi (Jon) Murphy; and brother, Jon (Joyce) Christensen, along with many nieces, nephews and beloved friends.

Sheila was preceded in death by her husband Glenn Eugene Bailey; father, Fred S. Wagaman; mother, Dorthea (Irene) Wagaman; and daughter, Glenda Bailey-Wilson.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, September 3, 2021 at Capitol City Church, 5990 NE 14th St., Des Moines. Funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 4, also held at the church, followed by burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
