Jamie H Rowen, 65, died Monday August 30, 2021 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. He was born in Santa Barbara, California on November 17, 1955 to James Rowen and Ruby Jean (Levisay) Rowen. The family moved to Clear Lake, Iowa when Jamie was four years old.

As a teenager Jamie attended Job Corps in South Dakota where he received his GED. Jamie later joined the Navy, where he proudly served his country from 1973 to 1977.
Jamie moved to Fort Dodge, Iowa in 1986 where he met and later married the love of his life, Patricia Williams Rowen.

Jamie was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Jean Rowen; father, James Rowen, mother-in-law, Dorothy (Snyder) Williams; father-in-law, Clarence “Jack” Williams; brothers, Charles McGrady and Merlin “Butch” Rowen; and sister, Loma Evans.

Jamie is survived by his loving wife, Pat; son, John; daughter, Emily and her husband Skyler; granddaughter, Millie; brothers, Michael (Rosan) McGrady, James (Jackie) McGrady; sisters, Margaret Adams McGrady and Mary (Paul) Skoglund; and sister-in-law, Jennifer (Charles) McGrady.

Jamie was loved by his many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday September 9, 2021 at Lighthouse Ministries, 1333 4th Avenue N, Fort Dodge, IA.

Family will greet friends from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. prior to the service.
