Mary Lee (Darnell) Walker

Mary Lee (Darnell) Walker passed away on August 25, 2021. She was born October 14, 1935 on the East side of Des Moines to Mary and Edwin Darnell.

She married her lifelong love, Billy (Bing) Robert Walker on February 15, 1958.

She is survived by her son Billy R. Walker Junior and her daughter-in-law Kathie M. Walker.

Her grandchildren who she loved very much: Melissa K. Wallace and her husband Billy. Billy R. Walker and his wife Kara, Zachary D. Walker, Kelsey Walker and her significant other Paul, Shane A. Bennett and his wife Lauren, Jimmy R. Walker II, Joshua J. Weller, Jake R. Weller.

Her Great-Grandchildren: Billy D. Wallace Jr, Kaytlynn J. Wallace, Xander B. Walker, Elijah L. Walker, David E. Walker, Hayden W. Doke, Taylor L. Doke, Stryder J. Bennett, Harper L. Bennett, Jensen D. Walker.

She was preceded in death by her husband Billy (Bing) R. Walker. Her daughter Kay Lynn Bennett, Her son James Ray Walker. Her Sisters: Millie Garlow and Norma Bowers (Glen).

She enjoyed playing bingo, playing solitaire and spending time with her family. She was a Cubs fan. She loved Watching game shows and Christmas romance movies on the Hallmark channel. She loved to bake cookies for her grandkids.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Grand View Park Shelter, 3230 Easton Blvd., Des Moines. It will be an Open House from Noon to 3p.m.
