Kimberly “Kim” Kaye Wilson passed away at home on August 23, 2021. She was born in Des Moines on December 29, 1963, the daughter of Wayne and Bonibel (Still) Wilson.
Kim graduated from Southeast Polk High School, attended Grandview College, receiving a degree in English. She continued her education at the University of Iowa where she attained a Master's in social work.
Kim worked as a licensed social worker for Eyerly Ball for several years. She recently was employed with UnityPoint-Iowa Methodist. She loved the outdoors; spending many hours tending her flower and vegetable garden, riding her bicycle or canoeing at Racoon River Park.
Kim is survived by her mother, Bonibel Wilson; sisters, Theresa Boggs and Deborah Gunn (Randy Simerson); her cats, Sebastian and TiTi and many other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Wilson and her brother-in-law, William Boggs.
A private family ceremony is planned for a later date.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Animal Rescue League in loving memory of Kim.

What a privilege to have known Kim as a work colleague! Always open to hear nuances, so able to relate warmly yet had clear boundaries in her work with people at home, a great person to collaborate with! Social Work has lost a treasure here.
