Robert See

Robert Wayne See, 82, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family and friends on August 23, 2021. He was born in Grinnell, Iowa on July 26, 1939 to Floyd and Virginia (Thomas) See.

Robert served his country proudly in the National Guard as an MP for 8 years in St. Paul, MN. He went on to retire from Meredith Corporation after 27 years. Robert was a dedicated family man whose greatest accomplishment was raising three generations. He enjoyed going to the races, growing hay and feeding his cattle as a hobby. Robert never met a stranger and had the gift of gab.

He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Tammy Frazier; grandchildren, Crystal and Robert J.; and great-grandchildren, Shania, Ayla, Brielya, Mathylda and Jordison.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis; son, John W.; and his parents.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 -7:00 pm on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Hamilton’s Mitchellville Funeral Home, 303 Center Ave. S., Mitchellville. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, August 27, 2021 also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mitchellville Cemetery.
