Marilyn Davis

Marilyn Joan (Hockmuth) Davis, 92, went to glory Thursday, August 19, 2021 at King’s Gardens Campus of Perry Lutheran Homes.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, 1 NE 60th Ave., Des Moines. The cemetery can be accessed from NE 14th Street due to construction and road closures.

Marilyn was born August 21, 1928 in Des Moines, Iowa. She married Raymond Davis on July 4, 1946. To this union was born a son and daughter, Dennis and Denise. Marilyn loved her family very much. She was an active member of Heritage Assembly of God for many years until she was unable to physically attend. Knowing she is in Heaven with our Lord and Savior brings great comfort to the family.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond; children, Dennis Davis and Denise (Lowell) Nelson; grandchildren, David, Tricia and Mark; great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Cordelia, Melania, Macy, Rhett and Levi; and step-brother, William Gorrell.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Darlene and Harvey Gorrell; and father and step-mother, Price and Marcella Hockmuth.
