James Douglas Hansen, Jr, 40, lost his battle with alcoholism on August 10th, 2021, at Mercy One Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. James was born on January 15th, 1981, at Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. He was a lifelong resident of Des Moines, graduating from East High School in 1999. My first memories of James are intertwined with my first year at Adventureland. He made working there fun. He'd do anything to make people laugh. That summer was the most memorable summer of my teenage years. We weren't close these last 15 or so years but to know that I'll never talk to him again hurts more than I can say. My deepest condolences to you, Jodie and family.
