Daniel Tomlinson

Daniel Tomlinson, 45, died unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, August 12, 2021 in Altoona. He was born November 11, 1975 to George and Phyllis Tomlinson in Des Moines.

Daniel graduated from East High School in 1994 and earned his BA in Education from Iowa State University. He enjoyed fishing with his dad and tending to his garden, especially perfecting his hot peppers. Daniel loved to spend time with the family dog, Buster.

Though Daniel had his struggles, he was a gentle and kind soul who wanted nothing more than to get better and be with those he loved.

Daniel is survived by his parents, George and Phyllis (Gould) Tomlinson; sisters, Katherine (Greg) Wisgerhof and Krisitine (Rick) Mull; nieces and nephews, Allie and Taylor Wisgerhof and Logan and Hannah Thomas; aunt, Mary (Bill) Morlan; uncles, Charles (Rebecca) Tomlinson and Ron Gould; and a host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Vernon and Ruth Tomlinson; and maternal grandparents, John and Clarice Gould.
