Roxanne Ryan, age 67, passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021, at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines. She was born the daughter of Burdette and Helen (Adams) Burley on July 5, 1954, in Des Moines, Iowa.

Roxanne worked for UPS for 20 years. She took great joy in taking care of her son and enjoyed time spent relaxing. Roxanne was known for her tough exterior, but deep down the more you got to know her you quickly realized she had a heart of gold. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Steven Ryan II; siblings, Rhonda (Rick) Williams, Regina Fuller, Randy (Jeannie) Burley; Steven’s dad, Steve D. Ryan; although she loved all of her nieces and nephews she had a special bond with Kathy Bowser and her children, Shelby Ryan and Anthony “Tony J” Ferrari; and sisters-in-law, Debby Wallace, Gloria Quick, Lyn Perdue, and Sandy Brown.

Roxanne was preceded in death by her parents.

Celebration of Roxanne’s Life will be held at a later date.
