You could find humor in anything, no matter the situation. I'll always be able to remember one of your stories or jokes whenever I need a laugh. I was incredibly lucky to have you for an uncle!

My heartfelt condolences to Tom's family and close friends. I had the privilege to meet and know Tom during homeroom class while attending Des Moines East High School. After graduation, our paths would meet again when Tom joined the Des Moines Police Department as a cadet recruit. Tom would later take a position with the city public works however he left the police department with many new friends. Tom had an infectious smile and personality that would uplift the spirits of all those around him. Your time on earth may be over but your journey is just beginning as you are welcomed home into the gentle hands of a merciful and loving Father.
