Elton D. Myers

Elton Dale Myers, age 88, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at his home in Des Moines.

Elton was born February 23, 1933 in Afton, Iowa to Lester and Lois (Zarr) Myers. He proudly served in the United States Air Force and worked for Rochester Armor Security. He married Lois Irene Mattox and together they raised six children. Elton and Lois were members of Sunshine Open Bible Church.

He is survived by his children, James Myers, LeAnn Taylor, Dale Myers, Steve Myers, Betsy McClarnon, and Ernie Myers; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Elton was preceded in death by his wife, Lois.

A graveside service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery, E Oakwood Drive & SE 44th Street, Pleasant Hill on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 1:00 p.m.
