Harold "Bud" Weatherly

Harold Lloyd Weatherly, 80, passed away August 5, 2021 at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown.

Bud was born January 28, 1941 in Davenport, Iowa to his parents William and Alberta (Smith) Weatherly. He was married to his wife Sue Sanders on October 4, 1961. They enjoyed 57 beautiful years together. Harold was a proud marine. He served his county for 6 years.

He enjoyed wood working, antique cars, and fishing. Bud also enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He spent hours sitting with his loved ones sharing stories while sitting on his front porch.

Bud is survived by his sons, HL “Skip” (Tammy) Weatherly of Pleasant Hill and Rodney (Sarah) Weatherly of Des Moines; sister, Monie Moonie; brothers, Gary (Donna) Weatherly and Bill (Linda) Weatherly; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Carol Sue Weatherly; his parents, William and Alberta Weatherly; and sister, Penny Weatherly.

The family will greet friends on Saturday, August 28 from 11:30 am to 4:30 pm at Sunrise Park, 5415 E Oakwood Drive, Pleasant Hill, Iowa, with military honors at 12:30 p.m.
