Bruce Fick

Bruce Allan Fick, 71, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 6, 2021 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born June 18, 1950 to Arnold and Violet (Waderich) Fick in Mapleton, Iowa.
Bruce graduated from Maple Valley High School and went on to Western Technical School. Bruce married the love of his life, Patricia Vaughn on June 27, 1970 and worked for Taylor Industries for 35 years, retiring in 2006. Bruce was a member of Farrar United Methodist Church and the Plumbers and Steam Fitters Union Local 33. He enjoyed trail riding on his horses or mules and never said no to a game of cards. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Bruce is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patricia; children, Brent (Denise) Fick and Karie (Jeff) Hosbond; grandchildren, Kolt Pitzen, Kyle Pitzen, Kade Pitzen, Alyssa Fick, Keira Fick,
Ashlynn Hosbond, and Kacey Hosbond; sisters, Bonnie Scheer and Debbie (Darwin) Hesebeck; numerous nieces and nephews; and host of other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Michelle Fick.

He was a neat man with tons of love for his family. I know my parents cherish the times they went on their trail riding vacations with Bruce and Pat. Much love....

I worked with Bruce when I was an apprentice. Learned a lot from him at and outside of work. We never drove past a farm implement store with out stopping. Brent and family, Im sorry for your loss. Bruce was a great guy.
