Brya Graham

Brya Nicole Graham, 12, passed away August 8, 2021.

Brya was born May 4, 2009 in Des Moines Iowa to Anthony and Lynn (Dyer) Graham.

Brya had many interests including painting, singing, drawing, and dancing. She was also a true fashionista but most of all she loved people. She would consistently facetime her friends and family, no matter what time of night it was. Her best friend and cousin Anthony Smith was her rock. Brya had a light to her. She never let the pain she felt take away the joy she shared with others. She had the biggest heart and will be truly missed.

Brya is survived by her loving parents, Lynn and Anthony; sisters, Kaymin, Ashlynn, and Savanna; grandparents, Jack Graham, Gail Dyer, and Dodie (Ken) Coverdell; aunts and uncles, Donald G. “Papa Don”, Chanel (Scott) Smith, Michael (Emma) Dyer, Jayde Graham, Robbie Graham, Shelby (Matt) Melbie, Sam (Steph) Meissen, Carrie and Nick Sharp; cousins, Anthony Smith, Alli Smith, Hunter Smith, Mark Dyer, Gabriella Dyer and Patrick Graham; fur baby, Duke; and several other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mark Dyer Sr. and Garth Searcy; uncle, Mark Dyer Jr.; and great grandma, Eva Graham.

Family will greet friends on Friday, August 13 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, Iowa. A memorial service will take place the following day, Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 1:00 pm also at the funeral home. The family requests that everyone wear bright colors and no black please.
