Patty Rinehart

On July 30, 2021, Our Lord called Patty Laura Rinehart to His Heavenly home.

Patty was born on June 4, 1925. She was born in Des Moines, IA and was the fifth of eight children born to Joseph and Goldie Terrell. Patty was a wonderful loving wife and mother dearly loved by her family. Eugene and Patty raised their family in the Christian faith. They demonstrated their love for God with their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Patty was a sacrificial woman who always put others first. She loved deeply and generously. She enjoyed gatherings with her family and dear friends. Nothing gave her more pleasure than playing games with her family, listening to country music and dancing as long as she was able.

Patty was preceded in death by her husband Eugene of 67 years; oldest son, Gene Jr.; daughter, Peggy McLaughlin; and infant son John.

She is survived by her children, Vicki (Bob Webber) Rinehart, Mark (Debbie) Rinehart and Goldie (John) Benz; and her son-in-law, Danny McLaughlin. Patty was also blessed with 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, August 9, 2021 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Due to construction, the funeral home is unable to be accessed by 2nd Avenue. The family respectfully requests all guests wear masks and practice physical distancing.
