Kelly Brunson Hollis Singer

Kelly Brunson Hollis-Singer peacefully went to be with her Lord on Thursday, July 29, 2021.

Born September 21, 1960, Kelly was the 4th of 5 children born to her late parents, Jackson G. “Red” Hollis and Kathryne Brunson Hollis. Kelly had fond memories of growing up with her brother, Glenn and sisters, Kathy, Sandy and Mary.

As Kelly would tell you, her major accomplishment in life was her daughter, Hannah Singer. She relished her time with her and was so proud of her recent graduation from the University of Iowa and all that she has become. Kelly adored Hannah. Kelly and Hannah were very similar in their thirst for knowledge. Kelly, an avid reader, would spend countless hours reading books. It truly was her passion. Mastering what she did not know. Kelly absolutely loved reading. She would mention that one day she would have a library in her house—surrounded by books.

Her family will remember Kelly’s great sense of humor, her grit, loyalty, great desire to learn and a passion for sports especially college and pro football. She was a graduate of Valley High School in West Des Moines and Grand View College also located in Des Moines.

We thank our God for the life of Kelly Brunson Hollis-Singer, the love he showed thru her, and the lives she so impacted.

Kelly will be honored privately at Glendale Cemetery Wildflower Scattering Memorial Garden in Des Moines, Iowa.
