Kevin N. Tribby
Madrid
Kevin Tribby was called home Friday, July 23, 2021. He was born March 11, 1962 in Des Moines. He was greeted with open arms by his father, Neal Tribby and mother, Beverly Schreckhise.
His soul lives on through his children, Andraya and Olivia and their siblings, Nicole and Jacob, brother Rod Tribby, sister Theresa (Tribby) Hall, Step mother Ginger Tribby, Grandchildren Khamaia, Maggie, Connor and Willow, and many nieces and nephews. They will remember him for his caring nature, love for cooking, gardening and spending time with his family. He was a proud Eastsider and had a great love for music.
The best years of his life were spent while he was involved in Alcoholics Anonymous fighting the good fight alongside many of his AA brothers and sisters. His bravery and leadership were used to change the lives of many. Kevin was known as a leader, giver and one hell of a guitar player.
Through his journey he endured life’s challenges with the intention of love, happiness and peace. He will be remembered that way and his heart will forever be stoned in the bright light he spread to others.
There will be a visitation followed by a memorial service July 30, 2021 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines with visitation beginning at 4:00 PM and memorial service at 6:00 PM.
Please consider an act of kindness to honor Kevin’s memory. Memorial contributions can be directed to his family on Kevin’s behalf.

Sincere condolences to the Tribby family during the loss of their father, son, brother and friend to many. So young to have left so much life undone. Kevin, nice to see that even after you left the Kansas City area, you remained true to the KC Chiefs! RIP friend, may your loved ones find comfort in the days and months to come with everlasting memories.

To Olivia, Andi, and your whole family, I'm so sorry for your loss. I just want to say how honored I am that you have accepted me to sing at your dad's service. He was my closest friend in AA, and I hope to spend much time with you girls to express my condolences, because there's just not enough space on here. All my love girls. See you tomorrow.

Sending extra love and hugs to the entire Tribby Tribe for the loss of your brother, dad, uncle, nephew, grandpa, son. All those titles don't tell the half of who he was. For every one who knew him in those ways, there were dozens more who simply called him friend. His physical absence will be deeply felt. I hope the good memories run even deeper. May Kevin rest in peace and may the rest of you find solace among the family and friends he left behind.
