Micheal "Shelly" L. Clingenpeel

Micheal “Shelly” Leah Clingenpeel, age 71, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Friday, July 23, 2021, with her family by her side. She has been reunited with the love of her life, Gene.

Shelly was born March 23, 1950 in Des Moines, Iowa to Fred and Betty (Dunn) Armel.

She was a very hard working person and was employed as a factory worker for many years. She enjoyed country music, bowling, and rodeos. The most important thing to Shelly was her family. She loved her daughter to death and her grandkids were her world.

She is survived by her daughter, Gina Green (Rick); sister, Denise Armel; grandchildren, Crystal, Christopher, and Rickie; and her nieces.

Shelly was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Betty Armel; husband, Gene Clingenpeel; siblings, Cheri Shannon and Danny Armel; and her nephews, Troy and Butch.

According to her wishes, cremation will occur and there will be no formal services held.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to family in loving memory of Shelly.
