At age 76, Theuang passed away unexpectedly due to natural causes on July 21st, 2021. She is survived by her daughter, Bounchanh Cam; her son in-law, Bounma Cam; her 3 granddaughters, Brandy Cam, Holly Cam, and Molly Cam; her siblings, Older sister, Bang (Ann) Tchong and younger siblings,
Khamleuang Saidara, Thinh Be, Souanne Be-Johnson and Oune Be; as well as many other dear loved ones. Theuang was preceded in death by her father, Kham Kieu Be and mother Deng Vong Be; and her brother, Khamning Be.

Theuang was born in Lai Chau, Vietnam on January 29th, 1945. Theuang was given refuge in Spokane, Washington on May 11th, 1981 then came to call Des Moines, Iowa her home in 1995. Theuang proudly became an official U.S. citizen on July 18th, 2018.

Theuang loved to be in her garden planting and decorating the family home with beautiful and colorful flowers which caught the eye of everyone who passed through the neighborhood. She especially enjoyed going on Starbucks runs and shopping with the three girls and her daughter. She loved spending time with the family; traveling, eating, and laughing together. Theuang will always be remembered by her loved ones for being energetic, talkative, a bit feisty and still very active even in old age. Even in her final moments she continued to fight for her life until she was met with her final peaceful rest. Theuang will be greatly missed by her friends, family, loved ones, and all who had the pleasure of meeting her.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 24th, 2021 at 2pm at 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines, IA 50313.
