Carolyn Sue Hockett Gilliam

Carolyn Sue Hockett Gilliam 64, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, July 18, 2021

Carolyn was born on January 10, 1957. She was a fun loving out going woman with a huge heart of gold and would do whatever she could for anyone. She loved drinking her coffee, doing latch hook, watching her favorite TV shows, and playing games on her phone. Carolyn loved spending time with her family and friends and was the glue that held her family together. She will be missed dearly.

Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Marcia Cain; sons, James Robuck and Earl Gilliam; brothers, Rick Hockett, and Richard Hockett; her 5 grandkids whom known her as “Speedy Grandma”; as well as 10 great grandbabies; and many others who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Pearl L Hockett; great-grandson, Christopher George; and many other loved ones & family members.

A Memorial Celebration of Life and Luncheon will be held on September 12, 2021 at 1:00 pm at American Legion - 2211 E 42nd St Des Moines, IA, 50317
