Conrad L. Jungmann
July 16, 2021
Conrad L. Jungmann, born in Des Moines, Iowa on December 1, 1942, died of cardiovascular disease on July 16, 2021. He was a kind and generous man who loved to laugh and have a good time. Having grown up on a dairy farm near Booneville, he always loved the outdoors. Before a move in recent years to downsize, Conrad could always find outdoor projects that needed to be done, whether mowing the acreage he loved, trimming trees, cutting firewood, or driving his tractor. He loved playing golf with his friends and, regardless of his score, couldn’t wait to get out and play again the next time. Conrad was a partner in Endodontics, PC. He considered it a privilege to be part of the dental profession for over 40 years. Conrad and his wife Rosemary enjoyed traveling, including countless road trips throughout the country, many of which included stops to visit family and friends, all of whom he dearly loved.
Conrad is survived by his wife, Rosemary; children, Conrad (Jennifer) Jungmann Jr, Danielle (Jason) Weems, and Michael (Jesika) Watton; grandchildren, Lucas, Maya, and Gabe Jungmann and Owen and Lyle Weems; and his siblings, Jan (Bill) Daly, Jim Jungmann, Ron (Donna) Jungmann, and Judy (Steve) Saltzman. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Elmer and Lyla (Conrad) Jungmann.
A celebration of Conrad’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 1, 2021 in the DuPont Room at the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden, 909 Robert D. Ray Drive in Des Moines. A private service will be held at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery near Van Meter.

Hi Rosemary....I am so terribly sorry about the death of Connie. So glad that you had some years after the heart surgery at Mayo but it is never enough. You will be in our prayers at our dinner table.

I just learned of Conrad's passing from one of our high school classmates of Van Meter High School., we had a very small graduating class of 10, (5 boys and 5 girls) so we knew each other and their families pretty well. The last gathering was at our 50th year reunion in 2010, which Conrad attended. I am so saddened to hear of his passing and send my sincere condolences. RIP Conrad.
