Domenic "Dick" Morano

On Thursday, July 15, Dick Morano passed away at 83 from Alzheimer’s. Dick was born on December 1, 1937, in Des Moines, to Frank Morano and Mary (Clausi) Morano.
Dick was a Barber, Real Estate agent, and Expeditor with the US post office, from which he retired.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents, brother Alphonso, sisters Grace Comito and Jenny Serra.
He is survived by his wife Sandy of 58 years, daughter Susan Schaffer and grandson Ryan Schaffer, and many loving nephews and nieces.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at All Saints Catholic Church, 650 NE 52nd Ave., with burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens.
Memorial donations may be made to the family, the Alzheimer’s Association or All Saints Parish.

Dick was a great neighbor and always so friendly!!
He was so blessed to have had Sandy who loved him deeply. She showed us that in the way she took care of Dick!

Uncle Dick, You were a great husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle! Going to miss you so much. You were there for all of us when and if we needed you.
