Robert "Bud" Francis Krisinger, Jr.

Robert “Bud” Francis Krisinger, Jr., 78, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Bright Kavanagh in Des Moines.
Bud was born February 28, 1943 in Des Moines, Iowa to Robert Francis Sr. and Lillian (Vertz) Krisinger.
He retired from Pirelli Tire and Rubber in 1994. After that, he worked for Hawkeye Truck & Equipment, American Republic Insurance, and Hope Ministries. Bud was a dedicated family man who loved his family above all else. He enjoyed acting in and directing the Easter Passion Play at Berean Church in Pleasant Hill, where he was a long-time member. Bud volunteered at the Polk County Jail in ministry work, as well as serving on the Jail Ministry Board. He played his bass guitar for the Church Worship Team for over 40 years. Bud was a Church Deacon Board member and an Advisory Member for 25 years. He also volunteered at Iowa Lutheran Hospital.
Bud loved going fishing and camping and made many memories taking fun trips with family and friends. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs, and Iowa State football teams.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; daughter, Jacki (Bryan VanKooten) Krisinger; son-in-law, Randy Waters; grandchildren, Chad (Jennifer) Waters, Angela (Jamie) Stork, Brandin (Christina) Krisinger, Jordan (Melisa Avdic) Krisinger; great-grandchildren, Cameron, BraeLynn, Averie, Morgan, and Nic; and many other loving family members and friends.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Sr. and Lillian Krisinger; and daughter, Joni Waters.
Services will be held on Friday, July 16, 2021, at Berean Church, 5299 E University Ave, Pleasant Hill. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. There will be a luncheon immediately after the service. Burial will take place at Altoona Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to Polk County Jail Ministry, Berean Church, or to the family in loving memory of Bud.
The family wants to thank Dr. Seema Harichandt and her medical staff at John Stoddard Cancer Center for their compassionate care of Bud and the entire family. Words cannot express how wonderful they were.

I worked with Bud at American Enterprise years ago. He was such a light! He was such an encourager and diligently prayed for my husband when he had cancer. He represented his Savior well in the work place!!!

Bud was a wonderful uncle and I know how much he loved his entire family. I will always remember the family vacations to Leech Lake and Colorado. Good times with good people. We'll miss you Unca Bud, but you'll be in our hearts forever.

So very sorry to hear of Bud's passing. He was a good neighbor to us many years ago. Our children grew up with theirs. We kept up with each other through face book in recent years. Prayers for the family are being said. Love to you all.

We are so very sorry for Bud's passing but we rejoyce in God's promise of that great reunion day. We have such fond memories of when Bud was in the Road To Calvary play at Berean and we were with ReaBorne doing all the music. Those are such precious memories. He will be greatly missed. Was blessed to have our families so close, for so many years. While his Earthly presence will be missed horribly, I rejoice knowing Bud is dancing in heaven, and still certainly cheering for them Cowboys. Many prayers for the entire family.
