Tammy Stevens

Tammy Stevens passed away after battling cancer on July 7, 2021. She was born on August 1, 1966.

Tammy attended school at Cainsville R-1, Cainsville, MO and East High School in Des Moines. Tammy also worked hard and received her degree in Office Management and Accounting. She was employed by Adel-DeSoto School District as a bus driver and classroom aide. Tammy was also a former hub manager and inventory specialist for Advance Auto Parts in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and an office manager for Brown National Lease of Cedar Rapids.

Tammy was united in marriage to the late Tim Stevens on October 23, 2010 after a long engagement. Tim and Tammy loved racing and were a huge part of the Battle Barn and Stuart and Boone Race Tracks where Tim raced and Tammy worked.

Tammy loved the races, sports, Mickey Mouse and spending time with family and friends. She was a strong, vibrant, energetic and loving woman who loved helping other people.

Tammy is preceded in death by her husband, Tim and grandson Thomas. She is survived by her children; Claudia VanBlaricum and C.J. Strauser; mother in law, Janet Stevens; parents, Darrel and Catherine Roach; grandchildren, Cheyenne, Joseph and Raelynn; sister, Traci (Richard) Willis; step siblings, Kevin (Cindy) Roach, Gloria (Jim) Tracy, Ed Roach, Donna Williamson and Jeanie (John) Jones; as well as her nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines, Iowa on Monday, July 12, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. The family will greet guests one hour prior to her celebration.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, 1 NE 60th Ave., Des Moines.
