Meo Phan

Meo Phan, age 89, passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at Granger Nursing and Rehab. He was born the son of Cat and Nghiem (Bui) Phan on September 17, 1931 in Vietnam.

Meo was a very hardworking man. Meo was lifelong learner, after coming to America he worked hard to learn English. He even learned how to country line dance. He also enjoyed working as a teacher aid at Holy Family Catholic School.

He is lovingly survived by his wife, Hoe Nguyen; children, Tam T. Phan, Hue T. Phan, Phuoc Phan and Hang T. Phan.

Meo was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 8, 2021, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 10, 2021, at St. Peters Catholic Church, 612 E 18th St., Des Moines.
