Charleen Patricia Lukenbill

Charleen Patricia Lukenbill, 80, passed away July 3, 2021 at her home.

Charleen was born April 3, 1941 in Des Moines to Charles and Virginia (Kearney) Lydic. She married Larry Lukenbill on July 2, 1960. She enjoyed shopping, going to Prairie Meadows, and visiting her mom’s house. She retired from Dahl’s with over 30 years of service. Above all, her greatest joy was her family.

Charleen is survived by her daughters, Sue (Jerry) Ferriss, Pam Singleton-Rexroat, Christy (Tom) Sposeto and Laura (Scott) Conway; 10 grandchildren; Jamie, Shannon (John), Lisa (Joe), Larry, Frank (Morgan), Tom, Anna, Breanna, Brittany and Alexis; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Joe (Jan) Lydic; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry; parents; and siblings, Jerry, Charles, and John Lydic.

The family will greet friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 12, 2021 also at the funeral home. Charleen will be laid to rest at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines at a later date.
