Sharon Suzanne Carper

Sharon S. Carper, 65, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2021, at MercyOne Medical Center. A private Celebration of Life will be held for her a later date.

Sharon was born March 29, 1956 in Des Moines to David (Scott) and Marjorie (Stokes). She retired from the Bulk Mail Center after 27 years of service. Sharon enjoyed writing poetry, gardening, boating, listening to great music and making sure she NEVER missed an episode of Judge Judy. Most importantly she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Sharon will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 48 years, Mark S Carper; her children, Nicole Rasmussen (Rod) and Mark Carper (Amber); five grandchildren, Tyler, Nicholas, Justin, Haylie and Grace; six siblings, Sandra Scott, Shonna Jackson (Ralph), Stephanie Shull, Shelly Ross (Gary), David Scott (Shannon) and Kim VerSteegh; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; David and Marjorie Scott and her brother-in-law, Charles Shull.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to The Autism Society of Iowa in honor of Sharon’s eldest sister, Sandra.
