Thomas Canney

Thomas E. Canney, 55, passed away on June 22, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. He was born in Des Moines, on September 16, 1965.

Tom enjoyed fishing, gardening, wood carving, cooking, baking and being in the kitchen. He also had a love for nature, boating and camping. Tom’s greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends.

Tom is survived by his wife, Kathy; son, Nick; daughter, Hannah (Tim); father, Mike (Joyce); mother, Judy; mother-in-law, Carolyn; brother, Bill; his buddy, Picasso; and other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, John; father-in-law, Jack; and his buddy, Maggie Mae.

Visitation will be held from 2-5 p.m., on Sunday, June 27, 2021, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines. A private graveside service will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
