Tremir Khawi Jeovontae Matthews

Tremir Khawi Jeovontae Matthews was born February 26, 2020 to James Matthews and Destiny King. He passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 15, 2021.

Tremir was full of energy and joy and he was always smiling. He loved to use his voice and if you ever wanted to know where he was, you just had to look for his big brother, Quadir, because he was always right behind him. He would follow him anywhere. Tremir was very playful and so smart; he learned everything so quickly. He was a sweet boy and he had the cutest dimple. Everyone who met him fell in love with him right away. He loved Cocomelon and bath time the best.

He is survived by his parents, James and Destiny; big brother, Quadir Matthews; his day care provider, Lizzie Cameron, who cared for him and loved him like he was her own son; and many other loving family members and friends.

Services will be held at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway, West Des Moines. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 28, 2021. Funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2021. Tremir will be laid to rest at Glendale Cemetery after the services.
