Ted (Teddy) Bish

Ted Bish, 74, passed away June 18, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Des Moines on February 12, 1947, to Robert and Gayle Bish.

Ted worked in the food service industry until his retirement in 1995. He had a love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing, hunting, and water skiing.

Ted is survived by his wife, Carol; daughters, Shelly Rodriguez and Dawn Bish-Brown; special granddaughter, Jennifer Kilby; grandchildren, Alexander Bish, Alisha Bish, Billy Young, Cory Young and Erik Snyder; 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; as well as his sisters, Cyndie and Mary, and his beloved four-legged friend, Peaches. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Bish.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 28, 2021, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines.
